2013: Preseason Report

The preseason is over, it's time to begin the Campeonato Paulista, the state championship of São Paulo. In Brazil, the state championships are very important. To many fans, they are still more important than the national league. Since the national league started only less than 40 years ago, many state championship competitions have more history to them.

And no state championship is more competitive than São Paulo. In it you've got big time clubs like São Paulo, Corinthians, Santos, Ponte Preta, Portuguesa, Guarani, and of course, Palmeiras.
